English: Song of Saint Fides. Detail of a manuscript of the Cançó de Santa Fe in Carolingian calligraphy, an Occitan poem from the 11th century. The entire manuscript consists of 36 pages of 35cm x 22.5cm arranged in pairs on 19 parchments. Although it may seem very elaborate today, it seems that it was written for a practical function, and not as a decorative object. In fact, they neglected to paint the inside of the corner of an L. It can currently be visited inside the abbey church of Concas. The writing is in a Gothic or late Carolingian style. The song was sung and danced in the abbey of Concas, as an act external to ordinary masses.
